8 Contract Marriage K-Dramas That Will Move Your Heart

Sharp writing and great direction and DP work. I’ll need something to watch after I finish with Atypical on Netflix. I loved the cat fight, hated Se Ah, and growled at Yeo Reum with his pointed hug. I laughed hysterically at Jang Mi and Hoon Dong wailing and comparing their woes. I just finished episode 12 and I’m livid. Freaking Se Ah takes forever to learn when to quit and I’m still raging at Yeo Reum.

I agree that both leads really gave their best in their roles…and I’m a real fan of them now. Hopefully they will move on to bigger and better projects. Thing is I feel that cable sometimes used lesser known actors who doesn’t command the same buzz but somehow produces better results. It’s telling that a number of cable dramas are actually more entertaining than the ones on the main stations. It’s a peculiar trend but as long as us viewers remain the beneficiaries….no complains here.

Our Dating Sim ( Episode 8

Like in singing, diving and acting. She is in some ways like Jang Mi too, esp. in the dating area. 😉
I’ll always remember her as Jang Mi, just like everyone who watched Girl K remembers her as Girl K.

Kanakana ( Season 1 – Episode 26

If anyone is interested, you can watch Strong Heart Episodes 5 and 6 on DramaFever. I’m excited for both of the leads and enjoyed them each immensely in this, but I’ve got to give extra props to Han Groo for being such a natural at the physical comedy. Anyway, they made a delightful OTP that I shall remember fondly for a long time. On a totally different note, Yeon Woo Jin has officially switched from a reason for me NOT to watch a drama to a reason FOR me to watch a drama. Congratulations to all the production staff and the cast.

Dad shows up and Mom admits to having invited him, but Hyun-hee comes to get Ki-tae before he can address any of this. Jang-mi pouts that Ki-tae’s proposal isn’t very romantic. Jang-mi finally cracks a smile and counters that you can’t trust men, but nevertheless, she wants to trust Ki-tae. Ki-tae and Jang-mi talk to her mother’s doctor, who’s optimistic about her surgery prognosis.

MARRIAGE, NOT DATING Episode 1 Tagalog Dubbed

Watching this became a bonding time with my wife who kept on nagging me to check whether the latest episode was already out. Finally the recap I have been waiting for. Satisfying ending to me. been fun reading all the comments, thanks folk. Just when they thought it couldn’t get any worse, the sky opens up and it starts to pour. All of the wedding guests run for cover, leaving Ki-tae and Jang-mi to stand in the rain at the altar all alone.

16 episodes later Im so happy with this couple, Im going to miss them. This drama made me laugh, even cry a little and made me care for many of the characters. Ki-tae and Jang-mi are so good and so cute together, and I only can agree, the family aspect in this drama is one of its strongest angles.

The only concern is that she will lose that breast, but Ki-tae tells Jang-mi not to worry, since he knows a great doctor. Se-ah enters right on cue, and offers to do the reconstruction surgery at the same time as the removal, so Jang-mi’s mother doesn’t have to live through the shock of having only one breast. Jang-mi tells her dad to go to the hospital but he says that he won’t, since if her mom didn’t tell him she was sick it must mean she really hates him. He thinks his presence will only make her upset and she’ll feel worse. Jang-mi goes straight to her mother, who would rather talk about how she’s hurt that Jang-mi didn’t tell her she was dating Ki-tae for real.

I really loved the OTP, but the scene that by far made me grin the most was the one where the 3 women collectively kicked dad to the curb. This drama was very fresh and funny. This adds onto my list of most fave dramas.

But they learned how to love and accept one another in spite of that, and maybe even because of that. Granted, where we were taken wasn’t always roses. And as with most dramas that take on the contract dating/marriage premise, getting your characters out of the entanglement (or prolonging it, for that matter) proves to be a difficult endeavor. I loved the setup, but it started to drive me nuts the way we felt trapped there. The series was at its best early on, when the humor crackled and the couple was forced to act loving on the surface while antagonism brewed underneath.

Han Groo did a great job as Jang-mi too. Her movements are always so dramatic yet still somewhat natural at the same time. Looking forward to see her future projects for sure. Definitely the breakout stars of the year for me. I’ve never seen them in anything before and I’m just so mighty https://datingsitesreviews.net/ impressed. I really started hating Se-ah somewhere in the middle, but I’m glad she was redeemed quickly.

I should check out that taiwanese drama then. I think that in part, Marriage Not Dating was so enjoyable because the lead actors were easy to relate to, not just because of their flaws, but also because they looked like normal people. Yeon Woo Jin, though adorable, doesn’t have the abs of an idol or male model, and Han Groo is cute in a very natural way. I’m just so happy that this show remained true to itself until the end. And that they weren’t afraid to show the OTP kissing and touching like any normal couple (thanks cable!).

While I know a majority of you guys felt her character changed too abruptly, I think her main personality remained the same. She was still controlling but maybe focused on another target – first it was to get Ki-tae back, then it was to make Ki-tae’s life perfect. I’m glad she got her happy ending even if I really expected the father of the child to be Yeo-rim. Such a satisfying ending to a solid drama. I have to admit the earlier episodes were my favourite, it went flat in the middle for me but the ending was done nicely. I cried when the three ladies cried when grandma finally let go of her daughter in law and cried again when mum offered to live with the other 2 ladies and left dad to go eat crap for all they cared..
