Now at my e-mailbox today I got a message saying that one particular lady at the OT site flirted with me. Before I clicked the link, I saw the user name in the background of the e-mail.
One noteworthy feature of OurTime.com is what we are calling ‘Me Perks’. With a special currency called tokens the user can activate one-time or temporary benefits. PromoteMe puts your profile at the top of the search lists for an hour, increasing the chance of being noticed by others.
I’m supremely embarrassed and mad at myself…so sad. Additionally, few men on this site actually wrote anything on their profiles. I find it tedious to try to “pull” anything out of people online to learn more about him. Granted, I’m not convinced this is a great way to meet friends, but, I feel this site is not a place to find quality people with whom I would want to spend time.
In regards to the message that I sent “Our Time”, they replied that this charge was a new upgrade and my credit card info would have had to be entered in order for us to process this charge. This is really what convinced me that what they are doing to folks is fraudulent and this site is only about the money. I did not enter or give them my credit card information; you see they lie also. Right away, I went to the site’s help button and sent a message stating the above-mentioned and reported same to my credit card company within 10 minutes of this charge taking place.
Actually found a person by her picture on a free dating site who ourtime indicated she viewed my profile 8 or 9 times.
